Can you post a link to a web site where the photo is? Or email it to me. You may have some other parts that are failed. I know that they feed 24 volts ac to the board and it is rectified to dc. If one or more of the diodes shorted, that would place ac on the caps. It could explane the burned caps. Let’s see if someone else comes up with a schematic. Tom Doug, have you been to any welder repair shops and asked for a copy of the schematic? If they don’t want to give you a copy then plead your case and ask for the values of the destroyed capacitors. They should at least do that.

Chris Ed Miller 7 October Chris – The link to the manual did work at 2nd try, so the site owner probably had the link down temporarily. I bought two parts to replace the tineshaft oil seals, but I noticed a problem with spacing. The tine assembly has just under 2″ between the bolt hole and the inside edge which buts up against the housing or gear cover on the left.
Does anyone else see this problem or is the tineshaft no sitting in the proper place on this unit, which might mean there are other problems inside the transmission housing. Any insights would be appreciated.

What type of batteries and charger should I buy, and what type of maintenance do I need to perform on the batteries? Does the trigger control power to the tip and does the wire feed speed control knob adjust the amperage level fed to the electrode? Can I hook up the Ready-Welder II to these batteries with the motor running and batteries cable still connected? How long of welding duration time will I get out of a pair of batteries before I will need to recharge them?
Many factors will determine the length of acceptable quality welding duration time, with the primary factors being the the type and size of batteries used and the type of welding being performed. The thicker the metal being welded the greater the amperage draw will need to be to obtain satisfactory results,which will drain the batteries faster.
